Just a few comments about "curriculum"—

The one word represents at least four different things:

• there's the "formal" curriculum—that which appears in government policy documents;
• the "perceived" curriculum"—the stuff in textbooks;
• the "enacted" curriculum"—what happens in the classroom; and
• the "real" curriculum"—the learning journey taken by individual learners.

Which one matters?
