SELF AS INFORMANT - 2
The Cue Systems

In the first set of activities we took a brief look at how we use the cue systems available in language and text to enable us to make sense of print. In this next set of activities we're going to explore how authors intentionally disrupt the cue systems for stylistic purposes. While it makes the reading more interesting it also makes it more challenging. Because one or more of the expected cue systems aren't operating as we expect them to we have to adapt our strategies.

Do each of the activities. Then freewrite about your thoughts, questions, connections, insights into reading and learning that the activities taken together raised for you.
